Absolutely appalling that these rightwing nuts would actually penalize an elderly group of people - it's almost age discrimination. If this state actually enforced and more loudly declared FINES FINES FINES for those idiot climbers, hikers and reckless individuals who just go for a walk with nary a care and then require rescue, we wouldn't have to look for other means of funding for our parks. We should also be increasing training for strictly volunteer senior staff for our parks. They would be wonderful spokespersons for the NH parks services and our parks and could assist visitors with information/directions etc. I know many seniors in all states already do this work and they are a wonderful resource for every state.
