Cop Killing With Cantwell

This is Chris Cantwell. This is his Halloween costume, worn at a recent Free State Project convention in Keene.

He moved to NH as part of the Free State Project, the armed band of miscreants that are moving, en masse, to colonize NH, take over and dismantle our state government, then threaten secession.

Cantwell wants to kill cops. Well, not really - he wants to "inspire" other people into killing cops. Cantwell lacks the courage of his convictions. He doesn't want to go to prison, because he's too important. The lesser folk should do his dirty work for him. It's all part of his desire to violently overthrow the US government.

The FSP publicly kicked him out in 2013, but that was all for show. He's still part of the cult, living in Keene (at the behest of the Free Keene cult leader Ian Bernard) across the street from the Church of the Free Load. Cantwell was on the CopBlock panel at the recent convention in Keene. We are asked to believe CopBlock has good, nonviolent intentions, yet Cantwell was part of the panel. One of these things is not like the other.

I've written about Cantwell before:

Big Turd Lands in Free State Punchbowl

He's eulogized a number of cop killers. The latest is Eric Frein, who killed one cop and wounded another, then hid out in the Poconos for almost 2 months. Frein was recently captured, and Cantwell waxes on about what Frein should have done:

I can’t help but think that his efforts would have been better spent moving to New Hampshire, and joining a community of people who also see law enforcement as a threat to their safety. He could have trained others to shoot, and survive. Instead of laying down his own life for the cause at such a young age, he could have been a force multiplier for all of us.

Yeah, I'm sure we all agree that it's a real shame Frein didn't move to NH.

By the way - we're always told that Free Staters are peace loving folk. How does talk of "force multipliers" fit in with that peace loving stuff? Wouldn't you need "force multipliers" if you were planning an armed takeover?

The only reason I’m alive is because I saw an alternative. I saw a way to do more for the cause of liberty by staying alive, than I could by dying. I can’t help but think the world would soon be a better place if people like Eric Frein, Jerad and Amanda Miller, Justin Bourque, Paul Ciancia, Tim McVeigh, and others, had seen that alternative too. What I wouldn’t give to today be surrounded by such brave warriors…

Jerad and Amanda Miller killed 2 cops and a bystander. Justin Bourque killed 3 RCMP officers and wounded 2 others. Paul Ciancia killed a TSA agent, wounded 2 other agents and a teacher. Heroic might not be the term you'd use to describe these folks.

Cantwell refers to Timothy McVeigh as a "brave warrior." In 1995, Timothy McVeigh blew up the Alfred P. Murrah building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and wounding 450 others. Nineteen of those killed were children - children that were in the day care center on the second floor.

A man who blows up 19 children is not a "brave warrior." That Cantwell and his acolytes can justify that act, and treat McVeigh as some sort of hero is monstrous.

The Free Staters love to tell us they come in peace. People who come in peace don't come armed to the teeth. People who come in peace don't bring guys like Chris Cantwell.

FSP President Carla Gericke's cries of outrage reached the ionosphere last year when the FSP were called potential domestic terrorists in an application for an armed vehicle filed by the Concord PD.

Cantwell Puts on His Cop Killing Cheerleader Uniform - Again

You remember Chris Cantwell. He's the guy who was kicked out of the Free State Project around this time last year. Cantwell was getting loud about how cops should be killed, and poor Carla Gericke, the president of the Free State Project was busy shrieking about how bad it was that the Concord Police Dept. considered the possibility that Free Staters could be potential domestic terrorists. The last thing Carla needed was for that to be proven true by Chris Cantwell, so he was ousted.

Since then, he's aired his views on how cops should die on a number of occasions. He blamed  Brentwood Police Officer Steve Arkell for his own death. Officer Arkell was killed in the line of duty. When Justin Bourque went on a RCMP  killing spree in New Brunswick, Cantwell cheered him on, as he applauded Jerad and Amanda Miller for killing cops in Las Vegas. This led to him getting kicked off CopBlock, but that was purely cosmetic. CopBlock wants to keep their memes popular amongst "the slaves."

Cantwell may have been kicked out of the FSP in a big public attempt to whitewash their public image, but it was all for show.  Cantwell lives across the street from the Church of the Free Load in Keene. Free Keene cult leader Ian Bernard begged Cantwell to come back to Keene.

He's still cheering on murder, as you can see here at his latest blog diatribe: Chris Cantwell - PA Troopers Got Off Easy:

Every traffic stop he engaged in was a death threat. Every arrest a kidnapping. Every fine a theft. He was paid through taxation, a global system of coercion that presently enslaves the entire human race. He was an active participant and willing co-conspirator in the system of oppression that makes wars possible. Should Dickson have pulled you over on the highway, and you attempted to evade him, he would use whatever level of force was necessary to stop you, up to and including running your car off the road and shooting you in the face, with a gun you were forced to pay for.

And

If his death prevented a single traffic stop, then his killer is a hero. If it saved the taxpayers of Pennsylvania a single penny, then his killer is a freer of slaves. If it makes one young adult think twice about becoming a cop, then his killer saved an immeasurable number of people from theft, assault, imprisonment, and death.

Our Free Stater wannabe overlords love to natter on about how they're all about peace and love, and claim adherence to something they call the non-aggression principle.

It's all a bunch of road apples. Scratch that facade of peace and love and what you get is far, far beyond the mainstream.

Update - it seems Cantwell has taken a cult name.

From his Facebook page:

While we're on the topic of Free Staters....

NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn :

Horn said the group’s philosophy is “something that’s right in line with the Republican Party.”
"For the most part," explained Horn, "the Free State Project has been very much a movement with character that I think has probably been a positive thing in our state.”

Is cop killing right in line with the GOP philosophy, Jennifer?

Tom Alciere, Free State Project Role Model

Remember Tom Alciere?

He was elected to the NH House in the November 2000 election. Days after taking office in 2001, he was forced to resign after this:

Alciere told the Valley News of Lebanon that he loves it when someone kills a police officer: ''It's unfortunate that cops do make it necessary (to kill them) when they're waging a war on drugs, and I view cops as enemy officers.'' He said he is ''too chicken'' to do it himself.
He acknowledges posting his views at Internet chat sites for months, including this 1999 comment: ''Nobody will ever be safe until the last cop is dead.''

It seems the doughty Republicans of Nashua weren't paying much attention to whom they voted for:

In 1997, three days after Carl Drega killed two state troopers, a part-time judge and a newspaper editor in Colebrook, Alciere sent a letter saying that except for the editor, Drega was ''an otherwise innocent cop-killer taking out enemy officers in battle.''

And there was this:

After the election, Alciere went online and said he was elected by a ''bunch of fat, stupid, ugly old ladies that watch soap operas, play bingo, read tabloids and don't know the metric system.''

In 2009 he was arrested for assaulting an 11 year old girl.

He's back on the radar, because he sent a letter out to GOP candidates warning that Paulbearers would "sink the Republican Party" if they failed to nominate libertarian extremists. Tuck has the story at Miscellany Blue.

Alciere was forced to resign in 2001 when the NH GOP cared about things like violent rhetoric. That was before the Free State Project chose NH as the state they intended to colonize and take over. They flew under the radar for nearly a decade, but their violent rhetoric has begun to ratchet up in the last couple of years. Some are quite vocal these days about their "obligation" to respond to the evil statists with violence, including those who advocate cop killing.

It was Free Staters who started the Cop Block website, where Larken Rose (member of the FSP) narrates a video called When Should You Shoot a Cop?

Alciere isn't the only libertarian nutter who venerated Carl Drega. Vin Suprynowiscz, FSP member, wrote a book attempting to make him a sympathetic character.

Given all that Alciere has espoused, it's no wonder that he served as an inspiration to early Free State Project colonizers, as we see in this 2002 Yahoo Group:

The point I'm trying to make is that if Tom Alciere can get elected,
anyone can. He found a way to work the system and got himself
elected, when he would otherwise be unelectable.

Why is he unelectable? He posted several times on Usenet that if a
person is selling drugs, and the cops try to bust him, then the drug
dealer has a right to shoot the police in defense of his honest
trade. He refers to his constituents as "lame-brains who will vote
for anyone that smiles and waves at them." He also runs a website,
deporttheborderpatrol.com on which he gleefully contemplates the
possibility of Mexicans sniping Border Patrol agents from across the
Rio Grande. He is not a lawyer or well-known businessman, if I
recall (can't find it on his site right now), he stocks groceries at
the supermarket.

And

So I suggest that if you think we need a new party, a porcupine
party, independence party, or whatever, just STOP...and consider that
what we really want to do is to get our porcupines elected. Read
Alciere's story, see how easily he got elected by running AS A
REPUBLICAN, just BECAUSE he ran as a REPUBLICAN. There are three
ways to get votes: win people to your side with the issues you
believe in, run with a party that most voters will DEFAULT to if they
don't know the issues, or outspend everyone else in a massive PR
blitz. By infiltrating a major party, we will have the advantage of
all three--financial support, votes from the "default voters" as well
as ISSUES we can use to win over the voters.

Are the Free Staters infiltrators of the NH GOP or allies?

Read Alciere's website. Note how that if he can get elected in New
Hampshire, certainly a Porcupine can.

Back then the Free Staters marveled that Alciere could get elected. Now they sound just like him.

A reminder:

Last year, NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn was on NHPR's The Exchange, speaking of the Free State Project in the most glowing terms:

Horn said the group’s philosophy is “something that’s right in line with the Republican Party.”
"For the most part," explained Horn, "the Free State Project has been very much a movement with character that I think has probably been a positive thing in our state.”

When is it okay to shoot a cop, Jennifer?

Big Turd Lands in Free State Project Punchbowl

Poor Carla Gericke, president of the Free State Project. She's desperately trying to keep up the pretense that the FSP is a benign, peace loving bunch of folk, moving to NH to enjoy Freedumb and Libertea.

That's a hard enough sell, given that the FSP is a bunch of armed miscreants moving to NH to take over the state, dismantle the government, and threaten to secede.

But for Carla it's been a tough month or so, with all the negative media attention generated by the recent spree of cop killings and the the link to Cop Block  (all of the killers were fans of Cop Block) which was founded by members of the Free State Project. In fact, Free Stater Chris Cantwell was cheering on Justin Bourque, the Canadian who killed 3 RCMPs and wounded a few others:

Not exactly the kind of publicity that Carla is trying to attract before their big annual festive gathering in Lancaster. After all, she's trying to court the national media to cover the sanitized story she wants to tell - about plucky libertarians and Bitcoin. She wants the national media to ignore the story of violent rhetoric from Free Staters who are vocal about their desire to kill police and use violence to take over.  She's been lucky so far. This story isn't being covered nationally. Hell, it's not even being covered by the NH media, who often function as sycophants for the FSP.

The boys at Cop Block were persuaded to take Cantwell off their page as a commenter/moderator, because it didn't look good.  Cop Block co-founder Adam Mueller acknowledged that this was being done for PR reasons.

Slaves? That refers to all of you misguided folk who post Cop Block memes on your FB pages, and so on. If you aren't one of the FSP cult, they have nothing but contempt for you.

The dust was settling after all the cop killing, no one picked up on Ian Freeload's opposition to an age of consent for children and adults having sex, and she had survived the contempt of Larken Rose and his friend Josie, the self-styled outlaw:

it looked as if Carla's fantasy of a DIY themed (snort) PorcFest was about to come true. Of course this wasn't exactly DIY home improvement tips. No, this involves workshops on lock picking and building an AR-15, because of course people who come in peace come with AR-15s. One of the boys even put together this attempt at diverting attention from the recent talk of violence. Sad that it needed to be done. But, still, all was fairly quiet on the freedom front.

Then a big, big turd landed in the Free State Project punchbowl.

Chris Cantwell  has moved to Keene. Last week he was filmed there by folks from the Colbert Show. In a week or two this is going national! Let's All Welcome Chris Cantwell to NH!

He's living right near the cult headquarters at the Church of the FreeLoad - and looking for roommates and financial contributions. Ian Bernard and Rich (no longer a Free Man) Paul have been trying to get Cantwell to move to Keene for some time, even though they kicked him out of the "activist center" and were happy to see him leave town just 2 years ago. Ian FreeLoad claimed in 2012 that Cantwell's pro violent rhetoric went against Ian's belief system.

What happened, Ian? Have you embraced violence as a solution? Was all that talk of peace and nonviolence just a convenient charade?

Poor Carla. This isn't apt to go well. An unstable, violent, self-admitted drunk, out there in Keene playing to the media?

This Martha Stewart version of PorcFest she's trying to pull off might not go the way she planned.

Cantwell kicked out of the FSP because he started talking about using violence when the FSP was wailing at being called potential domestic terrorists. The last thing they wanted was for anyone to find out that the Concord PD might well have been right.
