I was doing a little research the other day, and found myself at Open Secrets looking at donor demographics. Which candidates have more women donors, and what candidates have more male donors is fascinating.
I offer my findings on the Democratic candidates, in the order that Open Secrets has them listed, which is by how much money their candidate committees have raised.
I offer no opinion on what any of this means.
Bernie Sanders: 60% of his donors are men.
Elizabeth Warren: 52% of her donors are women.
Pete Buttigieg: 61% of his donors are men.
Tom Steyer: No information available.
Joe Biden: 56% of his donors are men.
Kamala Harris: 53% of her donors are women.
Cory Booker: 57% of his donors are men.
Amy Klobuchar: 51.5% of her donors are men.
Beto O'Rourke: 53% of his donors are women.
Andrew Yang: 73% of his donors are men.
John Delaney: 62% of his donors are men.
Tulsi Gabbard: 75% of her donors are men.
Julian Castro: 56.7 of his donors are women.
Michael Bennet: 60% of his donors are men.
Steve Bullock: 61% of his donors are men.
Joe Sestak: 66% of his donors are men.
Marianne Williamson: 71% of her donors are women.
Tim Ryan: 61% of his donors are men.

The WSJ said the other day that Steyer's campaign is nearly entirely self-funded. So putting "100% male" after his name wouldn't be far off.
Good point, Paul. According to Open Secrets, his campaign is 96% self funded. He's actually received $1,482,530 in small individual donations, which they define as being less than $200. He's received $564,903 in large individual donations.
I can't imagine sending a donation to a billionaire, but the fact that he's buying his way into the race is a good example of what's wrong with both our political and our economic systems.
