The Stupak/Pitts amendment seeks to rob women of insurance plans that cover abortion. No word on when insurance will be asked to stop covering penis pumps, penis implants, and penis pills. Of course, a silly girlie like me ought to understand that God loves penises, but wimmin are expendable.

I agree absolutely. We are living in an incredibly hateful and intolerant environment. I can't believe what I read and what is happening. We have lived in a constant war and constant right wing screaming at us environ for ten years and it's getting progressively worse. What is wrong with people? This is very frightening. And I wish individuals such as R.Shakir who wrote a dreadful letter yesterday would pick up a book and read it. Preferably a book actually written by its author. I'd like to suggest The Republic which is older but still a stalwart.
